Joshua Bivins spent the summer of 2016 working as a Summer Graduate Research Assistant at the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. He researched and wrote encyclopedia entries for the Museum's multi volume Encyclopedia of Camps and Ghettos. In particular working on entries concerning " ausländerkinder-pflegestätte" which were homes set up by the Nazi's for the children of so called Eastern Workers who were used as slave labor within Germany. He worked on three entries for the Fifth Volume of the encyclopedia which will be published in 2019.
