Undergraduate student Gabby Williams will – with assistance from the Harris Center as well as the Jewish Federation of Cleveland — be traveling to Israel this summer and doing a two-month internship there. She is majoring in forensic accounting. Her trip is part of the Onward Israel program.
Onward Israel is a framework for internships that creates meaningful experiences for students. The program is based on the premise that bringing young Jews back to Israel in the context of immersive experiences with modern Israeli society and culture results in a more substantive understanding of Israel and a connection to Israeli peers. It also seeks to cultivate activism and a strengthening of Jewish identity among program participants.
