Prospective Student

We’ll help you discover your passion, so you can let curiosity move you

Welcome, prospective student! Here you’ll find resources and information about the Harris Center for Judaic Studies undergraduate and graduate research programs, scholarships and financial aid, and about the careers you could achieve with your degree.

Delve into Jewish history, religion and culture

We offer a talented, award-winning faculty, who will challenge and guide you throughout your undergraduate career. You’ll study a wide range of courses dealing with Jewish history, culture, religion, philosophy, the Hebrew language, and many other subjects on your way to a minor in Jewish studies (which you could earn in just six courses).

Discover the world through Jewish studies

In addition to our courses, which cover different historical periods, geographical areas, and diverse peoples and texts, we provide information and guidance on relevant study abroad opportunities in Europe, Israel and even South Africa. Many of our students major in Global Studies, Ethnic Studies, History, Journalism and Religious Studies — fields that combine well with the Minor in Jewish Studies, given their shared emphasis on politics, beliefs, everyday life and global social issues.
